Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

This is a plain-language summary written for a product in development. It is a template and not legal advice — have it reviewed before launch.

Lino (“we”, “us”) helps people who live together keep one shared cleaning list. We try to collect as little as possible and never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account details

When you sign up we store your email address and the display name you choose. We use passwordless sign-in (a one-time code), so we don’t store passwords.

Your content

The tasks, rooms, notes, and completion history you create. In a shared home, this content is visible to the other members of that home.

Usage & device data

Basic, aggregated information such as app version, device type, and crash reports, used to keep Lino stable and improve it.

2. How we use your information

3. Sharing your information

Your list content is shared only with the members of your home. We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers (hosting, crash reporting, payment processing) who handle data on our behalf under contract.

4. Your choices & rights

5. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we’re required to retain limited records (e.g. billing).

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Children

Lino is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don’t knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll note the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
